So it's all go on the holistic front! I'm really pleased with the progress I've made recently. Going out and meeting practitioners in my field has been very inspiring! I've now got a packed diary full of future meetings with those who are happy to contribute to the project. I'm very grateful to Ricky Gill (NLP Practitioner) for being so enthusiastic and kind. I have just e-mailed one of Britain's youngest life coaches (at 24) to ask her how she does it! Hopefully she'll be interested in contributing to the resource. There was also celebration this morning at the news that an Iridologist is living and practicing in Queen's Park! So I've asked her if she'd like to get involved. I'm now moving towards getting links in the field of Ayurveda and Sound Healing. Singing bowls are a great love of mine, and it's fairly strightforward to show scientifically how they can be used to heal the body. This clip is a great portrayal of how sound affects sand on a flat surface!

Must get on now with more research :-) . Catch up again soon!

pointed focus
Everything has progressed very well this week. I have realigned my focus in order to correspond directly with Re-Evolve's vision. This means that I will be providing a holisitic therapies careers resource to serve the needs of young people. Having researched this field quite extensively whilst I cared for my mum, I have already made contact with practitioners willing to contribute in the following fields:
Journey Practitioner
Reiki Practitioner
Life Coach
MindTalk Practitioner
NLP Practitioner
EFT Practitioner
Psych-K Practitioner
I have been fortunate today to be joined by a colleague with equal passion for this field. Carolina will be starting her contributions to the resource with a focus on Yoga.
I'm delighted this project is really starting to take shape. I am very optimisitic about what it will bring to the careers field to have a thriving holisitic section on the Re-Evolve resource.

A roam in the field of mind power

www.innerspace.org.uk
The speaker, Caroline Ward, on this occasion focused on each individual's capability to live in infinite wisdom and grace. I felt it was motivational but perhaps not offering enough specific strategies for people to get on with. I enjoyed the sentiment but felt it was a bit vague for those just setting out in this field. I always find it's useful to attend an event that doesn't completely hit the spot. This gives me a clearer impression of the type of more proactive workshops I will look to set up at the centre.
On a more positive note, there was some very useful advice given about the concept of a personal 'rhythm'. This initially seems a little abstract, until one tunes into the extent to which we allow our pace in life to be determined by others. I've since enjoyed tuning into my body and exploring this concept. Any readers may also join me in observing that a slower, more pensive pace can often be quite an incredible time saver! Clarity of thought is a gift that springs from taking our time.
For anybody interested in art, I was really pleased to discover the concept of an 'open house' this weekend. One of my friends gave an exhibition of his art in his own house - what a great idea! For anyone like me who loves to paint but is not quite sure where it'll all end up, projects like the one on this link are very inspiring! The initiative continues next weekend, so why not take a peep at the inspiration of others :-) .

Continuing on the artistic theme, another idea that was explored at the talk was that of creating a 'visions board.' This can be a really inspiring technique for anyone who has a vision for the future and really wants to empower in into life. The idea is that you create a collage of all of the images / symbols of your aspiration and then put it up somewhere. This is something I'll be doing personally for my own goals in life (which doesn't have to be 'things', it can be more of a 'way' that you want to be) and so I also felt it could be of use to this project. It will not be about having artistic 'skill' at all (although I believe everyone has it), but rather about having a feeling of how you would like the project to be and then finding an image that represents it. I think that all of these arranged together could create something quite spectacular. And as one of my favorite teachers says, 'our success in life is determined by the vividness of our vision' - and I think this could be a really motivational thing for all of us to get together and do. It could grow over the years and become a really lasting testimony of what Re-Evolve's achieved. Longer down the line... it can be mounted behind glass on a large wall... hmmm sounds delicious. So there's my personal vision of our vision ;-) . For anyone who wants to help me fly with this, get in touch!!
So there is always the risk that I will spend so long blogging, I won't actually do any work! I haven't really finished all that I wanted to write, but more will be coming soon :-) . Time to get on with the actions and reflections that will form the content of my next blog!
Lots of love to you all XX

Chi Martini!
I clearly find blogging very therapeutic! So I'm at it again. And how ironic, seeing as I'm researching therapies :-) . I shall add blogging to my list!
Today's been a good day for my project. A GREAT day in fact! I've taken a more collected and focused approach - it worked! Exciting things from today are:
* I've contacted an organisation who offer 'affordable life coaching.' Hooray! I would so love the field of life coaching to be accessible to those who can't pay, such as those in temporary housing who visit the Beethoven Centre. Staff are getting more interested too... so let's make it happen!
** Dr. Demartini is coming to London! Details will be posted on the opportunities page to be set up. Dr Demartini is a very inspirational life coach :-) .
*** One of my favorite Chinese masters, Mantak Chia, is speaking in the same church one week later! Again details to be posted. He's a very energising and gifted man who demonstates the power and accessibility of Daoist practices.
So it's onwards from here.
Enjoy all you do til next I blog ;-) XX

Evolving...
So there's been a shift! I've taken the last few days researching methods of alternative healing and emotional support available for the local community. This took the form of sending out vast numbers of letters in the region of Camden, Westminster and Brent. I'm still waiting for responses, but also thinking of making my project more focused. Whilst sending out my letters, I have come across what I see as the particularly inspiring field of life coaching :-) . This is a field I LOVE!! And yet with my aspirations to help those who are disadvantaged, the cost of life coaching has made me pensive. Ideally, I would find a means of facilitating inspirational and empowering workshops to those who are financially compromised. It is this vision that has inspired my research for today. I will be contacting life coaches and asking to sit in on some of their group sessions. If I feel motivated by their approach, I will look into organising weekly workshops at the community centre I volunteer with. Reading my Dr. Demartini book last night has propelled my momentum!
On that note, I will also be attending a free two-day course in life coaching myself. This is mainly for those who are thinking of training to be a life coach. Details of the event I hope to attend can be found on this link:
http://www.the-coaching-academy.com/
These skills feel so valuable, so I would really honour the opportunity to share them :-).
I'm also attending this talk on Friday night, hosted by Brahma Kumaris:

It is about each of us awakening our optimal potential. Fastastic!
That's it for now! XX

The start!
Hello! So this is my first blog for Vital Regeneration! I'll fill you in on my project and my aspirations for it. My great joy is all forms of therapeutic healing methods. I would really love to explore how such methods can be made accessible to young people in the community. Whilst I was studying, I found counselling sessions absolutely invaluable. I'll be researching what's already available in the local community, then I hope to create a very interactive and accessible online resource.
My first attempt was to go around lots of community centres myself. This was quite fun but not particularly effective! I had a lovely day in the area of Camden and Primrose Hill, chatting with the locals about their community centres and what they have to offer for them. (WONDERFUL Russian coffee!) But after the day was over I decided I could do my research in a quicker and more far reaching manner! So today I have been writing letters and e-mails :-) . I will see what comes back and go from there!
Today's specialist area for me has been counselling. This will keep me busy for tomorrow as well I expect. Then I'll move into another field of my choice!
I read a wonderful quote yesterday and I really feel it clarifies why I'm motivated to join this project:
'Not only must the most privileged feel they are the equals of the most disadvantaged, but the most disadvantaged must feel as well that something within them makes them equal to the greatest sages and geniuses.'
So that's my food for thought :-) . Check in again tomorrow XX
